It could be a good idea to upgrade one box to test that everything you need is still working next time, we try as best to not break things between versions but we don't write all the softwares we distribute and bugs happen. The issue you raised has not been really flagged as a stopper until now likely because most users have one account or switch between ids not as often as you do.
