Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-disk-utility
Ran Palimpsest's extended self-test. Progress bar indicated it was about 85% complete, but it made no further progress overnight. Thought my drive was failing, so I bought a new HDD and ran the test again. Same thing happened at 85% and no further progress after 12 hours. The computer doesn't hang - I can still move around and do other things and the HDD light continues flashing. I don't want to update to the latest version because SMART testing is disabled and I want to check my new drive first.
