Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-session

I notice that in System -> Preferences -> Startup Applications
Preferences there are entries that appear to be duplicates that are in
reality identically-named entries pertaining to different desktop
environment. On my system I have two such spurious duplicates:

1a) "Check for new hardware drivers" -> ~/.config/autostart/jockey-gtk.desktop
1b) "Check for new hardware drivers" -> ~/.config/autostart/jockey-kde.desktop

2a) "PolicyKit Authentication Agent" ->
~/.config/autostart/polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1.desktop
2b) "PolicyKit Authentication Agent" ->
~/.config/autostart/polkit-kde-authentication-agent-1.desktop

Having such duplicate descriptions, it is very easy for a user to
accidentally enable/disable/remove the wrong application. Maybe this
could be solved by only showing those entries that are intended to run
under the currently running desktop environment.
