Binary package hint: gdm
On a netbook with resolution 1024x600, the gdm greeter doesn't fit
horizontally on screen.
The bar at the bottom is extended to the left and right, beyond what we
can see.
This happens with dutch locale, and alternative keyboard setup ( international
+ alt-green ) perhaps this plays a part.
But the UI should just be fixed, to prevent these issues.
