On a related note, the focus is also lost when you get "Denied". So if you mistype your password and start typing it in again, typically the start of the password will be lost because the screensaver is doing random "denied" gyrations (bug #44263) instead of paying attention to the keyboard ... and you will be denied again! This is frustrating.
