In Dapper Gnome doesn't hang DVD. Now I think problem is DVD drive support in Ubuntu. Because in Ubuntu drive can't find some tracks during playing video from DVD+RW. So it continuosely seeks track and after 2 minutes stops playing of DVD+RW. Also the speed of reading is too slow. In Windows I have no problem with reading these DVDs.
