@arand I install the popller libraries from your ppa, the problem is almost fixed I tried ten different pdfs (all scientific papers from different journals) and I don´t have any problem with the text selection!!! this is great!!! I only had a problem with one pdf that I generate from a odt file using OpenOffice.org. Please let me know which information do you need I could send you the "problematic pdf file".
