Thank you for your interrest for this bug. I have make some tests with the latest updates packages and there is no change with this bug. I have try to change the output device and this make the sound off.
The principal sound control seems to act on the pitch and not on the volume and the sound control from the application is really difficult to adjust (very high to very low instantly. If you can send me the procedure to upload logs, i can send you these.
