I just opened a pdf in Okular and Document Viewer and it is hard to read the text. I'm sure when I used to look at this pdf in Jaunty it looked fine with Okular but now the quality looks very poor since upgrading to Karmic. I installed Adobe reader to try another program and it looks much better (see attached screenshots). I did find similar bugs, but they seemed to be from older distributions ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 Date: Sun Feb 7 19:54:07 2010 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/okular NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Package: okular 4:4.3.2-0ubuntu1 ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, user) LANG=en_GB.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-19.56-generic SourcePackage: kdegraphics Uname: Linux 2.6.31-19-generic i686 ** Affects: poppler (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 -- Poor text rendering in Okular and Document Viewer https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/518527 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to poppler in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
