I have attempted to up grade to 9.10 from a wonderfully running 9.04 with out success. No sound, nadda, zip. The volume control listed in 9.04s start up manager is missing in 9.10. I had even back dated the kernel to 2.6.28-17 and successfully got my tv card to show the picture but I still don't have sound. MSI board w 2.6 gig P4, 1 gig memory, 256 mg video card and no sound card, using the MSI on board sound chip
