Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-terminal

I like my terminal sized 120x40, and not 80x24 as the default settings
are. This is usually fixed by editing /usr/share/vte/termcap/xterm (see
attached file). Recently, gnome-terminal stopped reading these settings
and always opens 80x24. I found there is a way to set these from the
profile preferences. Is ignoring /usr/share/vte/termcap/xterm the
supposed behavior?
