I cannot reproduce this on Ubuntu Karmic 9.10. I'm using an English language setting and an Australian locale. Ilmari - what are your language and locale settings?
My locale output is: home-01:~$ locale LANG=en_AU.UTF-8 LC_CTYPE="en_AU.UTF-8" LC_NUMERIC="en_AU.UTF-8" LC_TIME="en_AU.UTF-8" LC_COLLATE="en_AU.UTF-8" LC_MONETARY="en_AU.UTF-8" LC_MESSAGES="en_AU.UTF-8" LC_PAPER="en_AU.UTF-8" LC_NAME="en_AU.UTF-8" LC_ADDRESS="en_AU.UTF-8" LC_TELEPHONE="en_AU.UTF-8" LC_MEASUREMENT="en_AU.UTF-8" LC_IDENTIFICATION="en_AU.UTF-8" LC_ALL= If I launch evince from the terminal there are no errors until I select Help -> Contents (or press F1), then the following is printed in the terminal: ** (gnome-help:2619): CRITICAL **: atk_object_set_name: assertion `name != NULL' failed ** (gnome-help:2619): CRITICAL **: atk_object_set_name: assertion `name != NULL' failed OMF category 'Applications|Other' not recognised, ignoring. OMF category 'Applications|Other' not recognised, ignoring. OMF category 'Applications|Other' not recognised, ignoring. The help app still displays the help file pages normally though. If I select "About this Document" and scroll down and select "GNOME Feedback Page" (under the Feedback heading), then I get a message box which says "Unable to load page. The requested URI "ghelp:gnome- feedback" is invalid". Nothing further is printed in the terminal though. However I think this bug has already been reported. -- Help (ghelp:evince) not found https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/508355 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evince in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
