Sorry for the noise, but are you sure this is an upstream kernel issue? Comment #52 says the keys work fine with the mainline kernels 2.6.32. So either this is ubuntu kernel-specific or it has been solved upstream already (in which case ubuntu would need to backport a fix or upgrade the kernel (improbble)). In either case, this would not be an invalid bug report.
