I'm sure the problem is prevalent. E.g., anyone using the Greasemonkey script "YouTube without Flash Auto" that plays YouTube content in totem rather than a Flash container will have experience this bug when playing back HD videos. And that script has been installed 21,966 times as of this date, so there must be quite a few users experiencing this bug!
