I've tried the new version of gcalctool (5.28.1) and something is changed.
Now "2^1000 mod 3" returns 0, but maybe the answer is again wrong.
Indeed, "(2^1000+1) mod 3" also returns 0, and it can not be possible that the 
two answers are both correct.
