Is this still a problem? If yes, can you please follow the procedures described at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash and provide a backtrace for evince?
I didn't understand from your report whether this is happens with all PDFs. Can you please attach one with which we can reproduce it?
