Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution
package: evolution email Ubuntu release: 9.10 evolution: Installed: 2.28.1-0ubuntu2 Candidate: 2.28.1-0ubuntu2 Version table: *** 2.28.1-0ubuntu2 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com karmic-updates/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 2.28.1-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com karmic/main Packages --- bug --- when i open a new message window, and i type the letter "o", it is just not read by the application into any of the new message fields. it's as if i never typed it. strangely enough, when i type "uppercase O" , the letter appears just fine on the text. the letter "o", when typed, also appears just fine on evolution fields on other forms, like on the search field on the mail main screen (where it shows received/sent messages, etc). the letter "o" is also correctly read into any other app in Ubuntu (like i'm typing right now). I tried to review the keyboard configuration, character encoding and other options with no progress made. I also reinstalled the evolution package, but things didn't change. help will be appreciated.
