Because my Laptop keyboard does not have other multimedia hot-keys except "volume up", "volume down" and "mute". I personally did not know that GNOME has such an option in itself and logically look only in Rhythmbox in order to set some global hot-keys and there is no such a thing in the player. So I have to search in the Internet to find the "gnome-keybindings-properties" thing... I suggest that there is at least a link in Rhythmbox preferences pointing to the GNOME keybindings properties or sth like that.
