Hi, I agree that udev should be fixed in the first place, it has no reason to touch the sleeping drive.
Your patch fixes the crash for me: $ $LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/lib/:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH shares-admin (shares-admin:16955): Liboobs-WARNING **: Could not find any network device on the system: The name org.freedesktop.Hal was not provided by any .service files. The shares-admin window shows up, and I can edit shares. Thanks. -- shares-admin crashes on start when udev has been restarted without reboot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/490694 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to liboobs in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
