Public bug reported: Binary package hint: file-roller
File Roller (like Eye of GNOME, Nautilus etc.) provides a useful "Open With..." functionality through contextual menu. But unlike other GNOME applications, it doesn't lead to a submenu displaying a choice of applications but requieres to open a dedicated window to choose the application which is far less practical See screenshots attached : current File Roller which opens a dedicated window vs Nautilus which handles this through menus ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 Date: Sat Nov 14 15:25:30 2009 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/file-roller Package: file-roller 2.28.1-0ubuntu1 ProcEnviron: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-14.48-generic SourcePackage: file-roller Uname: Linux 2.6.31-14-generic i686 ** Affects: file-roller (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 -- "Open With..." functionality in File Roller should lead to a submenu instead of a dedicated window https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/482654 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to file-roller in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
