That sounds like the problem I, too, am having (but in my case, I think it does not matter what I booted previously; it can happen booting Karmic twice in a row). It started after I did a fresh install of Xubuntu 9.10 (final), selecting autologin. Ever since, sometimes it does log in automatecally, but sometimes it stops me for the password. Like Jigoita, I have tried gdmsetup. -- GDM autologin not working on Karmic ONLY AFTER using Jaunty (or probably also older ubuntu versions) and rebooting into Karmic https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/462201 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gdm in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
