Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

In ~/.local/share/applications/ multiple entries for the same program,
sometimes as many as SIX, appear. While users can remove these manually
- if they know how after spending the time to learn how - it is tacky
and a major annoyance to particularly users migrating to Ubuntu.
