Not sure this is a duplicate of #409640. In my particular case, blue tint was fixed by setting the default video output to "X Window System (No Xv)" instead "Autodetect" in gstreamer-properties (as described in #409640 by Spang #8). I'm using Nvidia 185.18.36-0ubuntu9 and HUE value was already 0 after upgrade to karmic.
