Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

When connecting to a romot machine via ssh -X <host> and then trying to do
something like "nautilus ." I get this
(in german, but googling after this message gives tons of hits, has been threre
since jaunty. Problem, message doesn't mean anything to me...)

(nautilus:22433): Eel-CRITICAL **: eel_preferences_get_boolean:
assertion `preferences_is_initialized ()' failed

(nautilus:22433): Eel-WARNING **: GConf-Fehler:
http://projects.gnome.org/gconf/ erhalten Sie weitere Informationen (Details –
1: Verbindung zur Sitzung konnte nicht abgerufen werden: Failed to connect to
socket /tmp/dbus-4DEm0Othxh: Connection refused)

(nautilus:22433): Unique-DBus-WARNING **: Unable to open a connection to
the session bus: Failed to connect to socket /tmp/dbus-W893og2BdG:
Connection refused

(nautilus:22433): Unique-DBus-WARNING **: Unable to connect to the
running instance, aborting.

I have /tmp on tmpfs in RAM - has this anything to do with it?
AND a "SUDO nautilus" (which one normally does not want) works!
