I think this is the same bug I experienced. Not sure if this is relevant, but this is the first time I was able to get sound after upgrading to Karmic. I upgraded, had no sound, added "options snd-hda- intel model=imac24" to my /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf, and rebooted. I launched rb, and then hit play. It played for about 10 seconds, and then this crash occurred as I was trying to adjust the volume.
After restarting rb, I did not re-experience this crash. -- rhythmbox crashed with SIGSEGV in g_object_set_valist() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/457539 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
