This time, evolution didn't crash... it just hung whist fetching messages, requiring me to kill the process (using xkill). Here is the backtrace from that session. The more I watch what is going on, the more I think it has something to do with the evolution-exchange plugin (see bug #456642) since the trouble all seems to occur when accessing my exchange account. I've disabled my exchange account to see if that stops the instability that I've been seeing since the last batch of updates which also included updates to evolution.
