i can confirm that if you uninstall libbrasero-media0 2.28 or downgrade this package to 2.27.92 then dvd playback works again. also fixes another problem that i had whereby if you unmount and eject a disk and close the draw you where unable to reopen the dvd drawer to insert another disc as it was locked and you needed to logoff and back on for it to work.
