Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evince
Under current karmic, the apparmor profile for evince doesn't allow files without a filename extension to be open when they're not stored in the user's homedir. This is due to patterns matching standard extensions of evince's supported filetypes being used in the evince apparmor profile for determining access rights to files. As file extensions are totally optionnal both under Gnome and Unix (and, imho, are not very elegant), their usage should not be enforced by apparmor. ** Affects: evince (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apparmor -- apparmor profile forbid opening files without extension outside of home https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/439290 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evince in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
