Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gvfs
Some commercial DAV servers, such as Novell's oneNet NetStorage, require session cookies for authentication. While this is arguably not explicitly required by the WebDAV RFC, neither is it explicitly forbidden; and as WebDAV is an extension of HTTP, it should be supported at least for the sake of robustness. NetStorage, for example, maintains a persistent 401 when proper Basic credentials are sent but the session cookie is not returned along with the authentication. This results in the gvfs-dav mounter repeatedly asking for login credentials. This is the behaviour both in 8.10 and in Jaunty. ** Affects: gvfs (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: dav webdav -- gvfs-dav does not support cookies as required by some commercial DAV servers https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/430126 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gvfs in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
