You have been subscribed to a public bug: The Places menu is really useful, but finding how to edit (through Nautilus' left column, after having selected "Places" in the upper listbox) is a real challenge... I expected it to be possible through direct handling : copy/paste, or right click on a element to edit/delete it...
EDIT (June 22th, 2009) In fact I'd like to be able to add/remove elements directly from this menu. Several ways could be chosen : either a "Manage places" item in the menu, or putting a contextual menu to the Places menu, with items that allow creating / deleting a shortcut directly from there. The latter option is what I called "direct handling" : I see an item I want to remove, I right click on it and I can remove it". ** Affects: hundredpapercuts Importance: Undecided Status: Won't Fix ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: ayatana places-menu usability -- Allow Easy Customization of the Places menu https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/bugs/389940 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
