I someone nicks my laptop, I want them to have to figure out my username
*and* password to get near my data, not select my account from a list.
By default they're presented with a list of valid user accounts and only
have to guess the password.  Strong password policy notwithstanding,
this compromises the security of my data - I use encrypted LVM for / and
/home and encrypted home directories on top of that, so they couldn't
get at my data with a live CD without guessing my LVM passphrase and my
password.
