Public bug reported:

OpenOffice.org should default to auto-saving its documents. For some
reason, for the past few days my Dapper Drake installation on a Thinkpad
T42 has been randomly freezing. Because of the latest freeze, I had to
restart my computer, and I found that the document I have been
painstakingly working on had not been saved, and I lost a great deal of
work that will be difficult to recover. This should never happen.
Defaults should always be made in favor of preventing data loss.

Note: the original reporter indicated the bug was in package
'openoffice'; however, that package was not published in Ubuntu.

** Affects: openoffice.org (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Untriaged
     Assignee: Ubuntu Desktop Bugs
         Status: Confirmed
