Public bug reported: I am running Karmic on Dell Inspiron 1721 laptop. I have noticed the following situation lately. I open a folder with an avi file (e.g. a film), and double-click on it to launch. Totem opens up, and I see my memory usage starts growing steadily until reaching 100% in 30s-60s. Surprisingly enough, the process which causes the memory hog is nautilus. Even if I leave nautilus running, nothing crashes, so I am not sure what information could be helpful on this issue.
