Pedro; sorry i have not been on the site lately but here is an update..it seems that the issue with the dvd mounting resolved itself, or maybe it was an update or other package dependencies that helped, anyway some movies play with vlc and some with movie player, so when the need arises i can watch a dvd now. Thank you!
