Binary package hint: gnome-control-center
gnome-sound-properties has been removed from Karmic, however this is a
regression. There is no replacement providing the per-event
configuration of the sound theme.
gnome-volume-control attempts to provide some ability to configure sound theme
settings, but:
a) the configurability provided is poor in comparison to what we had in Jaunty,
and
b) the "Volume Control" is an unintuitive place to look for configuring desktop
sound effects settings.
