mac_v, as far as I know Ubuntu doesn't want to have a lot of patches to drag along, so continue working on this is just a waste of time, correct David? But if Ubuntu would like to have patch for this I'd be willing to help.
The upstream bug for a toolbar editor is at [1] and there is an old patch.
