Ubuntu 8.04, ubuntu 8.10 and currently using Ubuntu 9.04
Ubuntu is moving forward with cool effects such as Compiz, beautiful makeover
in 9.04 by modifying the Sans font.. but there is one issue that is forgotten
every time.... The icon sizes... when there are multiple types of files in a
folder.. Viewing them in a list or detail work good.. but when we view in large
icons....the icon sizes do not match... the folders and executables icons are
in one size... the pdfs, images and videos show different sizes(since they try
to show preview).. Windows and OS X has uniform icon size even when showing
preview..

This random icon sizes make ubuntu look like an underdeveloped OS which
does not match others... This is the refinement that many ppl are
looking for. Please try to provide uniform icon sizes.. and given option
to change the icon size by providing a sliding bar or something.folder
size, icon of an image file, icon of pdf file...all should be of same
size.(I would like to point that this issue is common in all Linux
distros and may be the issue with Nautilus or Gnome).

***************************************************
Important: instead of opening another bug i am mentioning it here..
The icons should also be placed little bit closer.. there is too much of space
between each icon..they are too far away..the distance should be proportional
when we are changing the icon size. These two features are also highly expected
from the design team..

- If find these above issues when browsing through the filesystem in
ubuntu and also on the desktop.

** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
