I just reproduced the same bug in Jaunty Jackalope -- using "Synchronize with time servers" does nothing. It tries to install NPT support, but afterwards it still insists that NTP support is not installed and always reverts to the "manual" setting.
If the bug is incomplete, please tell me what sort of documentation I should provide.
