Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: f-spot

Our default photo application, lacks caching when watching photos. It
would be nice if the next image would appear instantly, without
redrawing, just like in gqview (which should be used as a reference in
speed).

It is important, as users use cameras that produce very large (e.g.
10MP) images.

Upstream bug contains a patch for this (which needs to be updated
though).
