Still experiencing this problem using Ubuntu Jaunty Jackalope. Still cant quite figure out exactly what causes it to do this. The applet still works after the error (when the first window does not disappear). So if you click on the "force quit" icon again another modal window appears on top, but this one disappears when you press ESC. The original window remains even when I started a fullscreen game to try and clear the display. It is on top of all other applications and will not go away without reboot or killing the panel (as above)
If anyone has a trace from the applet when it does this or knows how the applet works it would be appreciated. Does it start a new instance of another program when you run it? ** Changed in: gnome-applets (Ubuntu) Status: Fix Released => Incomplete -- Force quit applet doesn't remove modal window when pressing <ESC> https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/59143 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
