Just now, battery notification popped up with a beep, and it told me the
battery was running low. I hadn't realized that the power cord had
fallen out. I reached for it and plugged it in within 5 seconds.

The screen lit up brighter, as it does when plugged in, the icon changed
to charging icon, but then another notification popped up warning me the
system was going to shut down anyway, which it did, losing my work in
the process.
