Public bug reported: Binary package hint: totem
When I pop in a vcd a pop up appears asking me if I want to play the vcd using totem. I click yes totem starts and I get a pop up saying: "Could not open location; you might not have permission to open the file." When I try using File>Play Disc can view the first few seconds of the video albeit only the copyright notice then it stops. I get this when I run totem from a terminal and try to play a vcd: /var/lib/python-support/python2.6/gdata/tlslite/utils/cryptomath.py:9: DeprecationWarning: the sha module is deprecated; use the hashlib module instead import sha ** Message: no file info (totem:11684): GStreamer-CRITICAL **: gst_event_new_new_segment_full: assertion `start != -1' failed 1) Description: Ubuntu 9.04 Release: 9.04 2) totem: Installed: 2.26.1-0ubuntu5 Candidate: 2.26.1-0ubuntu5 Version table: *** 2.26.1-0ubuntu5 0 500 http://ubuntu.mmu.edu.my jaunty/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/totem-gstreamer NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Package: totem-gstreamer 2.26.1-0ubuntu5 ProcEnviron: LANG=en_PH.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: totem Uname: Linux 2.6.28-11-generic i686 ** Affects: totem (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 -- Error playing vcd's https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/380066 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to totem in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
