This is most definatily duplicable in Dapper with GIMP 2.2.11. This is
on a screen with 1024 x 768 resolution.

imho, it is never correct to have the buttons in a dialog go off the
screen. Many average users don't put one and one together and realize
that they just need to close the expander.

I should add that in order to recreate this you also need to have the
browser expander expanded. When the browser expander is minimised the
file type expander properly expands and retracts. When the browser
expander is expanded however, the browser area is expanded downward once
the file type expander is retracted. This causes the save button to
remain off screen. In essence, If you open both expanders at least the
browser expander needs to be retracted to view the save button.

I would agree with Christoffer that the file-types should be in a
combobox. Of course, the gtk combobox with a largish number of entries
is another issue all together.
