I can confirm this bug. Just upgraded my AMD64 machine from breezy to dapper. I'm trying to add a networked CUPS printer. I do the following:
1) $ gnome-cups-manager &> /tmp/gnome-cups-manager.log 2) double-click add new printer 3) select IPP network printer 4) enter the printer's URL 5) click forward 6) The driver list is _completely_ empty, no options, including RAW is shown The file /tmp/gnome-cups-manager.log contains the following single line: ** (gnome-cups-add:8649): WARNING **: IPP request failed with status 1280 -- No driver presence https://launchpad.net/bugs/39567 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
