Ok, so i just upgraded to 9.04. while upgrading i lost power (to my
entire house). When i turned my computer back on, Windows was working
fine (dual booting) but linux was having SERIOUS issues.

Thankfully i got ubuntu working again.. but i had to do the upgrade in
"CTRL ALT F1" environment...

Everything seemed fine after i restarted my computer... i got the GUI
working again, and it was all looking dandy (minus the fact the
minimise, max, and close options wheren't showing up). Next i did

Sudo update
sudo upgrade

in terminal to finish anything that didn't get done when the GUI wasn't
working. (Something about dpkg error... in the "CTRL ALT F1"
environment )

Got everything up to date and restarted my computer.

Still no "minimise, maximise, close"

so i did Sudo update, sudo upgrade again, and it came back with no
results...

Now im stuck
