your description is confusing but likely due to that change:

it has been done because computer: lists all the drives present, but
that patch no perfect. The issue has been workarounded upstream today
and that fix will be upload to dapper-updates after dapper. Reopening
the bug since that's an issue and there is no reason to close it now
