The icons are too abstract in my opinion. It's just a progress bar and could represent anything. There's no visual indication that it represents the signal strength of the wireless connection. There should be an antenna or something similar included.
The original nm-signal-XX icons could besides fill the gap for gnome- netstatus-XX-XX in the tango theme. Am I wrong?
