Attached is the output of dmesg after I inserted the problematic media.
It appears now that this problem only occurs with certain types of media
e.g. some music CDs, an Acronis boot CD, Windows XP installation CD. The
Dmesg logs also point to this type of problem but I am not sure what
could be causing this as these CDs read without issue on my WinXP
machine. Also, with these discs inserted, the "mount /media/cdrom0" does
not work.

Is there a way I can determine what format (ISO9660, etc.) these discs
have been formatted in?

Thank you.

J
