You have been subscribed to a public bug: Binary package hint: notify-osd
After a recent apt-get upgrade I no longer see notifications when I change the volume in Jaunty. When Jaunty was first installed (a few weeks ago) I did see volume change notifications. I still see other notifications (new mail, screen brightness, network manager), but volume changes don't show. The volume change buttons on my laptop (Thinkpad T60) do function (i.e. hitting mute actually mutes, hitting volume up actually increases the volume), it's just the notifications that are broken. notify-osd: Installed: 0.9.11-0ubuntu1 I'm including my dpkg.log, just in case it might help you determine which package updates might have caused the problem. This has broken in the last week or two, but I can't say with absolute certainty when the problem started (definitely more than a few days ago, definitely less than a month ago).
