well, i rebooted and now it works. so i'll close the bug. also before the reboot, when i clicked on an openoffice document, nautilus refused to start openoffice. starting openoffice itself from applications->office worked fine.
the bus is not invalid. i was in a state where some parts of nautilus stopped working without error messages. a reboot fixed it, it doesn't happen anymore now, so i don't see how can this be debugged. but the bug exists in some circumstances. if i'll reproduce it i'll reopen this bug. ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Status: Unconfirmed => Rejected -- nautilus doesn't refresh automatically when folder changes https://launchpad.net/bugs/46967 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
